Aaron Elmblade was a tanner journeyman when he emigrated in 1869 from Norrköping in Sweden. In 1870 he was a railroad worker in Oquawka, Henderson county. He was then 25 years old and his wife Christine was 28. They had the daughter Ettie, 9 months old. Later on he lived in La Grange, Cook county.
